Objectives
|
To promote the growth and prestige of the thermoforming industry by
encouraging the use of good manufacturing practices in compliance with
recognized standards of practice.
To enhance communications about thermoforming by originating,
compiling and disseminating technical, statistical, safety and other
information that is of interest to the public, industry and governmental
bodies.
To promote the development of new applications and proper use of
thermoforming by the processor, disseminating scientific, engineering
and other information on thermoforming of various polymeric materials.
To develop technical specifications, chemical and physical test
procedures; to recommend standards on plastic sheet and thermoforming
for formal promulgation, where appropriate, through recognized
standards-making Organizations.
